Who would win, Bruce Lee or Muhammad Ali?

You seem VASTLY knowledgeable about martial arts, what should I be looking for if I was to want to learn Judo or, maybe, assuming you can, Shaolin?

Judo, if your looking for ANY martial art Dojo/Academy, examine the instructor first, many tend to just give you a blackbelt asap, that's just total crap, i've been doing TKD for 7 years now, and im STILL not a blackbelt ... i love my academy, it takes it's time , and works on every single aspect possible. Shaolin, yes you can learn it, but like ... how to say this ... not the "real" Shaolin Kung Fu, but your best bet is to go to China if you want to learn Shaolin Kung Fu, it does not look flashy or anything like that, but there stances, formation, movements etc. etc. etc. is very powerful and stable, it also requires alot of discipline.

If you want to take a break from Martial arts, try tricking, it's reallly fun, if you get into it. You could say it's like - "Gymnastics with Martial arts" but it's more complex then that, it's a series of Twists, jumps , flips , kicks etc.
Tricking hasn't been out for long, so there are rarely any trainers for tricking, but there are a couple of good websites, which then you can self teach yourself, EMC Monkey's, Team Ryouko and Steve Terada, are all pro's at tricking, there my inspiration. I've been doing tricking for 1 1/2 years now

Here are some vid's just to show you what tricking is :

Cool to know that someone else knows about martial arts. So, is Kung Fu efective in combat? I want to go and train in China someday. They have a martial arts tornament without any rules. I love jiu jitsu and shotokan, Judo is fine too. Muai Thai may be the next art I learn. I am also trying to find a master of wushu. Does anyone practice Wushu?

Mate, you gotta get into TaeKwonDo, trust me you won't regret it.

Dude...teach me... :D

The only problem I have with martial arts is that it just seems to embarrass me. I don't know, I hate when people embarrass themselves, let along when I embarrass myself. So I don't know, I'll just have to work around it and hopefully learn some of the stuff. It's doesn't look like you have to be in the most tip-top shape to do these either, which is nice, because I don't feel like spending 3 months just trying to get into shape just to do a backflip, which, by the way, i can't do. So, hopefully these guides will work and I'll let you know how they turn out.

Also, thanks VERY much for the guides, this is a great help, and I'll definetly be giving you a rep point. :D

No problem mate :), i just love Martial arts, and with the backflip it's all to do with fear, start on grass or soemthing soft, bend your knee's a little, push yourself off the ground, and remeber to fling your arms back for extra momentum, and you would of atleast performed a 180 ...

Good luck :p

I always have the fear of breaking my neck or something. You see, when i was younger, I used to have a trampoline, We used to do all kinds of flips. One time I went for a side flip kind of thing, only, over shot it, smashed my mouth on the iron rin bar, shoved my teeth into my lip and bleed like I had been shot! ever since then, there's been this semi-fear of flipping.

Yeah, that's orginal (Break my neck if you screw up a backflip) i don't think thats possible ... there's a rare chance of you stopping in mid air and just falling down on your head and, even if you do , your neck won't take the pain, it's your head that will ;)
