Supposed to hit 55°F today. That's crazy warm for Jan in Ohio - where it's normally around 20...

From the NOAA forecast office for the county I live in for Saturday and Sunday:

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

RAIN COVERAGE WILL BE ON THE INCREASE ACROSS THE AREA AGAIN AS A
COLD FRONT APPROACHES THE REGION. PERIODS OF HEAVY RAINFALL
WILL DEVELOP THAT WILL CONTINUE TONIGHT AND SUNDAY. ADDITIONAL
RAINFALL AMOUNTS FROM 1 TO 3 INCHES CAN BE EXPECTED THROUGH SUNDAY
WITH LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS POSSIBLE. A FLASH FLOOD WATCH HAS BEEN
ISSUED FOR TONIGHT AND SUNDAY. STANDING WATER PERSISTS IN SOME AREAS
FROM HEAVY RAINFALL THAT OCCURRED EARLIER THIS WEEK. FLOODING
PROBLEMS WILL BE ENHANCED BY SATURATED SOIL CONDITIONS ACROSS THE
AREA.

IN ADDITION...STRONG TO SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE FROM
THIS AFTERNOON THROUGH THE OVERNIGHT HOURS. THE MAIN RISK WILL BE 50
TO 60 MPH WIND GUSTS AND A FEW TORNADOES.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SUNDAY THROUGH FRIDAY

THE POTENTIAL FOR FLOODING WILL CONTINUE SUNDAY AS PERIODS OF HEAVY
RAIN CONTINUE. THE FLASH FLOOD WATCH WILL REMAIN IN EFFECT THROUGH 6
PM SUNDAY EVENING. SOAKED SOILS FROM HEAVY RAINFALL EARLIER THIS
WEEK WILL MEAN AN INCREASED CHANCE OF FLOODING PROBLEMS.

.SPOTTER CALL TO ACTION STATEMENT...
THE ACTIVATION OF STORM SPOTTERS...HAM RADIO OPERATORS...AND
EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT PERSONNEL IN SUPPORT OF SEVERE WEATHER
OPERATIONS MAY BE NEEDED TONIGHT THROUGH SUNDAY.

I almost lost a laptop because pieces of the roof blew off from the last go round of storms and the kitchen ceiling was dripping from the leaks. Thankfully the lid was down and my housekeeper got it out of the way.
I knew I hated this town for some reason. January is suppost to be a real wet month in this part of the country.

Not sure where u live but we have the same issue in Ohio. All the snow melted the last few days and the rivers are already flooding. Now it's supposed to rain Sat night and all day Sun. Then it's going to drop to freezing temps next week..... Should be interesting.

I would rather be in a flood than any other disaster, Where I live we are lucky that we don't get floods a lot as we are at the bottom of Australia..

Weather today for me is..

It's back down to -6°C again. We have high water signs and flood warning all over and now it's all freezing...bah what a mess.
