What should I do to my car?

About the only thing you should do to that car is put a good sound system in it. Wait until you have a little bit better car to spend any more money on it and I say sound system because when you go to get a new car you can always pull it out and install it in your new one. My intentions are not to put you down, I'm saying realize what kind of car you are driving and what it is really worth. It will not increase in value a whole lot no matter how much money you put into it.

Dude, seriously, dont sink money into that kind of car.

And dont get such a loud system that people make fun of your 'seeeming like 5,000 $$$ system and 800 $$$ car'. You know.

I mean I know people that have like hondas and acuras in such bad condition that the muffler drags on the gound and gives off a lovely little popping sound. But their system is one of the baddest around.

Get something that sounds good, but not loud.

like i said i am not trying 2 raise value or anything, just trying 2 get some personality in it and what not. a few hundred dollars wont be a big deal. i am definatly not going 2 put a really loud sound system or anything, just one that sounds good and doesn't rattle my car apart. i am still thinking rims and seat covers it isn't a sporty car or anything like that, and i'm not going 2 try and make it one. but i will give myself/my car credit that it is in good condition for being 15 years old...and she runs good! lol people keep saying it's just basically but it's not junk until the interior is torn appart and the engine needs repairs weekly >.<

edit: i can't believe u would even think of putting nos in a car like mine! lmao. for 1 it would destroy my engine, and 2......no....just no

If you buy a system... this is the only advice that I will give you...

listen to a few other systems in shops, or in other poeples cars.
if you think that 100W sounds lound enough for you, then buy 200W and only turn it up half way.

if you buy a system thikning it's loud enough on full, then it isn't loud enough.

Amplifiers need headroom, (that's to say that it shouldn't be driven at 100% all the time. if it is it'll just sound crap. the more work that the amplifier does the more distortent th sound gets. it'll end up over driven sound bad and rattle...

i will definatly take that advice. i know that the more watts the better the sound. i don't usually like to play really loud music anyways...it's dangerous if u ask me.

if your music is too loud too hear a horn than it's too loud to be played in a car while driving.

the amp i have right now is 500W but it doesn't really get all that loud. i want a new unit i guess u could call it, or panel. where you control it because mine sucks . My brother told me the amp i have isn't really very good so i will probably get a good quality 700W or something like that. maybe kicker or something like that. also the speakers themseleves hit the crank for the windows so i wanna try and find some that wont do that.....

For one, some gray seat covers, would look good. Along with a gray dash (velour) mat.

As for the sound, roots opinon is great, but keep in mind, you cant go wrong with anything Alpine. Great, mid quality brand.

well i don't really think i am going 2 go all out on this car, because it does have alot of miles on it and it is the 1.9L which means it's rated 88HP stock *frowns*

i was thinking though i might want 2 do a few things 2 it anyways, rather it's looks or performance, interior or exterior or w/e!! i want some opinions though from CF if i had my camera i would take some pics but i don't....

i want 2 get some rims....i might try and go 2 a junk yard some day and find used escort GT rims because those look pretty good but what things should i do? i am leaning more for looks than performance because i'm not going 2 get awhole lot of performance from this engine, if i were to drop a GT engine in it i would have 127 stock which would have much more potential(and it gets better gas, hehe). i want to try to make it look nice not ghotty.

your car is very similar to mine, though mine is a 1991 tracer.
