Default what are the REALLY high resolutions for?

like when a vid card has capabilities for displaying a resolution of like 2560×2048, theres like no monitors that support that, so what would u use that with?

and i was looking at this page, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_common_resolutions and theres like resolutions of 7680×4800 which is insane!! ahah UBER HI DEF

There are actually monitors that support that. Huge things. I've seen some at bestbuy for between 500-1000 dollars USD. Be awesome to play some games on them.

I guess if you were using CAD or something there could be a use for it..

yea those arent single displays though i dont think. its those ones that have like 9 squares put together?

anyway, those dont even support HD resolution lol.

Those are called video walls. They're made up of smaller monitors combined.

For like computer aided design? Sometimes that stuff can be huge. Even in Photoshop, sometimes you have to deal with images that are huge resolutions.

Those super high res are used for autocad, and 3dsmax. So you can zoom in, and explore every aspect of a building.
