Default what is a mobo?

this may sound stupid for some, but a couple people said something about it, and i don't know what it means. What is a mobo?

Lol - I still wonder why people say Mobo and not Motherboard. I like the word Motherboard much more than the word Mobo.

i think motherboard sounds better anyway. mobo sounds kind of wierd to me.
