EA's game engines suck. They're inefficient and hog up resources. Bleh.

I love Source b/c it scales so well. But the Unreal 3 engine and the Offset Engine I cant wait for.

Yeah, another reason against them. Forgot about that obvious reason, thanks for reminding me

I've seen brand new, top-spec computers struggle with BF2 from time to time - at its peak it can take up to 1.8GB of RAM including the GPU RAM, I'm told.

Runs fine on my laptop, just bad load times and a bit of stutter here and there.

Source has a great balance. It doesn't have much, if any, weak points, but it's not exactly strong in any places.

Unreal Engine 3 is awesome. Offset Engine is interesting. It's definately something to look out for.

What I really like is the CryENGINE with DirectX 10. Especially the real-time soft shadows and diffuse transmission. So nice...

Yeah, plus the Faces on the Guards are amazing, they look real. I don't think the physics are to good though, the trunk and the barn did not do it for me.

It's realistic in terms of how the truck crashes and how the pieces fall around. Even current games today don't look like that.

The interactive enviroments are nice. It's actually solid with it's own texture.

The CryENGINE is one of the best, I think. They incorporate so much and they do a fantastic job at it too.
