What is the best brand of computer to get

Depends entirely on your needs. I've found over the years Toshiba give some of the nicest build quality, but Acer the best value. What is it you need from the lappy and how much have you got to spend?

I've always had good luck with HP but I've heard good things about Acer, Lenovo, and Toshiba.

Lenovo have always had a good reputation for bang-for-your-buckity, but often you lose aesthetics for that saving, however HP do make some very sexy laptops.

Oh? well I'm not much for aesthetics (in fact I hate the glossy crap that HP puts on their laptops..) Think you could point me in the direction of some good Lenovo laptops?

i like how the ASUS computer looks, though they are a bit expensive for me.
The brands i have ever tried were Toshiba, and HP/Compaq.
they were both great, until the charging insert broke....

I liked IBM. I'm not yet decided on my liking of Lenovo, though.
