Default weird problem

so i was doing a favor for my cousin, who's computer was full of spyware and trojans. i went and downloaded mcafee total protection from a torrent site. it worked perfectly for me and him. but all of a sudden, now when ever you click on a program like aim or add/remove programs you get a box saying "open with" or "not found". its really scary. he thinks i ruined his computer. IE works though. anyone have any ideas?

I don't know, maybe you got a corrupt version of mcafee, maybe you should try paying for it.

get a decent virus scanner, like nod32, or avg (they do it free), then boot into safe mode and run some scans.
mcafee sucks even when you pay for it. what were you thinking

Get a decent scanner like NOD32, Kaspersky, or even one of the freebies like Avast or AVG.
