Thousands of forums come and go in a matter of days, very few actually make it to that stage where users register en-masse and start talking. There's plenty of forums out there already - I haven't seen any general computer forums take off in years. If you really want yours to succeed, you'll have to think of something good...

I agree, you have to make it stand out so it will be noticed and give users a reason to join over other established sites.
