Default Watching tv on your pc

Does anybody know about watching tv on your pc? The programs that say they are good and offer thousands of channels, are the channels live, just as if you were actually watching it on tv? Anyone know?

I'd assume it'll be similar to this service.

I've used Hulu. It's pretty cool and has some good programming available.

It's not live though, I'm looking for something with live streams that you can watch just as if you were sitting in front of the tv, live network programming like the speed channel.

Wouldn't it be better to just get a TV tuner or do you not have cable or something?

Yeah, I do, I was just looking for something that would let me watch something that is going on right now and is being broadcast live on tv, and watch it on my laptop so I wouldn't bother the other people in the house. But it's almost over and it's not a big deal anymore.
