The Draft: Do you think I want the draft, ummm, no thanks. I am saying things will escalate thus a draft will be needed. prior to WWII there was a draft and prior to WWIV there will be a draft also.

I already proved why this reasoning was wrong. Dead wrong. Things will not escalate. Draft my rear end. You need to read the facts for once and look at how 90% of the american people, the president, and 90% of the congress is against it. YOu don't know anything. How the hell could a draft help us win? You don't know the logistics of this war. It is not a conventional war. You make me put my head in disgrace because you sound like a Charles Rangel supporter. We need specialized troops and we have plenty of them, not a bunch of damn conscripts.

My predictions:

Iraq elections will get screwed up by bombers
Our forces in Iraq will get screwed up by bombers
The whole Iraq situation will worsen because of countless bombers
OBL won't be caught
Schools in the US (particularly in Cali) will still be underfunded

On the good side:
I hope for:
A large leap in the technology of hydrogen powered cars
A large leap in the technology of stem cells

On the computer side:

AMD will start to rule the desktop market
Intel will release 64 bit, but it will be rubish
A massive hole will be found in Windows, causing a big scandal, and a third SP.
An easy-to-use but powerful Linux distro will become very popular
Mozilla will gain up to 25 to 35% of the browser market
the first teradisk drive will be introduced

Oh please give me a god damn break. You are the most pessimistic person on this forum and I'm growing tired of it. You same people said it wouldn't of been possible to hold elections in Afghanistan and guess what.. you were proven dead wrong! There will be elections in Iraq, and the bombers won't stop it. The election registration process has been unprecedented. Stop watching so much CNN and lets start reading the facts. And what do you know about the US school system, let alone California? The Governor has done a very fine job with the system. And our forces will continue to wipe out terrorists around the world while you michael moore like people continue to suffer in your own lies.

For starters, I attend a San Francisco Bay Area high school.

That still doesn't clarify the fact that you don't know what is happening in your own state with the governor.

Let's put it this way: Last year, our school district faced a crisis in which if the community didn't start giving 75 dollars to our district from every family every year, we would have to drop libraries, counslors, and the school nurse.

While 4 years back, our school district was proudly buying brand new books for several subjects, installing a brand new computer lab, and hiring new teachers. This was all on their yearly fund.

Now you're going to tell me that the schools are getting well paid?

Admission to UC Berkeley rose another 8 percent two months ago. Same with a lot of other UC colleges. Our teachers age getting EXTREMELY underpaid, with even NFL stars being paid more in a WEEK then they get paid in a year. No, that is NOT right. What they do is a hard job, and they don't even get a friggin good pay. I'm not saying that Arnold is to blame for this, but we seriously need to put education as our top priority, or China and India will very quickly overtake us in technology graduates (they pretty much already are). Outsourcing will become extremely common if this trend continues.

As for Iraq, I'm not telling you lies. You and I both know that bombers kill people nearly every day, and you know that during elections, this will be much more common. And please read my damn post right: I never said that the elections would get canceled because of terrorists. I'm saying that bombers will have an impact on the results, because i assure you that there are some people scared as hell right now to go to any public places in Iraq.

I never once mentioned anything about afganistan, nor their election. The situation there was not as messed up as Iraq is now. I never said nor supported the idea that elections couldn't be held there. They were, and I'm happy for that.

Let me pick apart this pile of rhetoric...

Never said that. But there is a plan on the table to reverse that trend. By the way, California State University Northridge is a huge money generator. It is noticed that the university made $687 million for the surrounding area. The San Fernando Valley is becoming the new economic powerhouse of California. But back to the topic, once the state's economy gets back online there will be upgrades made to the education system. It just can't come right now because the governor acknowledges in the immediate term it is more important getting the economy working again. We need businesses and they are coming back. When they come back more taxes gets collected, therefore MORE money for schools. That's important.

I go to a Cal State University... the tuition rose 15%. So please spare me this crap about me not knowing. The professors get paid less then prision guards. But that isn't the point. The system was mismanaged by you democrats. Arnold had to come in and fix the system. It will take a bit of time and work. We will have to cut the bureaucracy in the process. Arnold should be commended for bringing our economy back online. Furthermore, nationally the economy is growing strong and more money is being put in civil services. The GDP figure for the United States last quarter was +4%, faster then expected. China and India will not overtake us, however we can use them as trading partners. They should be allowed to build up their economy. You aren't too precise with your economic answers (not unexpected). Outsourcing generates more jobs at home it is now well established. 330,000 jobs were created in October and another 110,000 were created in November. December will see the creation of even more jobs and 2005 will be a hot year for the economy. The economy is growing steadily. And right now, quite frankly... India is faced with a huge problem of paying for the damages caused by that earthquake.

You are speaking nonsense though. I know there are bombers. There were bombers during the time of the Afghan election. Of course bombings will happen during the elections.. they want them to stop. But you think it is right to stop the elections? I won't let my guard down in this debate because I can't stand you Michael Moore types labeling this as a failure! I'm saying the bombers won't have an impact on the results and the elections will go as planned. Extra security is coming into the country as we speak. Also, the North Kurdish area and Southern Shi'ite areas are very secure and safe. You wonder why you hear no news about these areas.... you watch too much of the media and they only put in a bad image in your head. There are some people scared as hell but that doesn't mean much when the elections roll along. People's desire for freedom is that strong as demonstrated in Ukraine.. they will defy the danger.

I never once mentioned anything about afganistan, nor their election. The situation there was not as messed up as Iraq is now. I never said nor supported the idea that elections couldn't be held there. They were, and I'm happy for that.

Iraq isn't messed up. So please stop speaking this nonsense.

The San Fernando Valley is becoming the new economic powerhouse of California.

Yup, seems like pornography is exremely popular in the country.

I go to a Cal State University... the tuition rose 15%.

Okay? I'm talking about UC berkeley, and what happened to the price for undergraduates two months ago?

But back to the topic, once the state's economy gets back online there will be upgrades made to the education system.

I seriously hope so.

When they come back more taxes gets collected, therefore MORE money for schools. That's important.

Yes it is.

The system was mismanaged by you democrats. Arnold had to come in and fix the system.

You saying that Boxer and Feinshtein are horrible and stupid people then? Because you're sterotyping there.

I'm saying the bombers won't have an impact on the results and the elections will go as planned.

SO you're saying everything will go perfectly? We'll see.

Iraq isn't messed up.

My bad. Seems like hundreds of people dead every week or two is comletely normal. Sorry about that statement.

How offensive... very offensive. The county has a growing manufacturing sector.

Okay? I'm talking about UC berkeley, and what happened to the price for undergraduates two months ago?

It was more for us. But I accept these increases because we have to pay for what we get.

Yes it is.

Then let the government do their job.

You saying that Boxer and Feinshtein are horrible and stupid people then? Because you're sterotyping there.

Yes I do think they are horrible, stupid and California corrupt mainstream. Arnold is a breath of fresh air.

SO you're saying everything will go perfectly? We'll see.

Nope. Nothing ever does. I will say it will go adequately and up to standards.

My bad. Seems like hundreds of people dead every week or two is comletely normal. Sorry about that statement.

Like the 41,000 that die each year on highways in the US... it is unfortunate but it is what happens.

I never said it was normal... stop being foolish. But elections must go forward and people like you must be ignored.
