Yeah, 5.9 is the max, but 5.8 is what we're getting.

And it actually benchmarks your hardware, so no, it doesn't look at stock only. It's possible that it takes stock into consideration though...
 
I am sure it benches, seeing as how my cpu temps go wayy up when I upgrade the score. It is a good overall stress tool. Works as well as Orthos does.
