Default video editing question

I am trying to make a nice decent sniper cod4 video but the video editor i am using, windows live video editor, lacks the option of converting clips to slow motion. so is there a free movie editor that would allow me to make clips in slow motion?

yes, i tried doing this in windows movie maker...it failed on sound.

Are you able to mute the sound for the particular segment that you want in slow motion? Or do you need the sound?

i would really like to keep the sound. might there be a way to slow the sound effect in a audio editor and then add it as a .mp3 clip?

That's always a good answer
Or, if you don't want to do that, you can download Audacity which is already a free Audio Editor.
http://audacity.sourceforge.net/down...indows#recdown

I am downloading it myself at this very moment. When (or if) I figure out how to change the speed without changing the pitch, I'll let you know asap.

EDIT: I just got some kind of error when my download finnished.

found a program called "WavePad" on download.com...problem is that i can not find the rate that i need to change it. the movie clip (according to windows movie maker) is 00:00:05.89.

i did attempt to edit the sound myself at 200, it failed
