okay, for this parade thing in my town, i need to make a pyramid, like an egyptian one, i thought about using wood or posterboard, but wasnt sure how i would make it stay up ( no tape) and i want it to look good, i know there were a few handymen on here, so any help would be appreciated

Wood, and hot glue, it always works..Just cut the pieces, and hot glue will hold it..How big do you plan to make it?? If it something big, then hot glue wont work, youll need nails..
