It'd be a good little stress release in my opinion, put it on a 5v circuit and hook it up on USB.

It runs on 6V now, but all of it is designed to run on 5V. Its just getting 6V out of batteries is easier, and will cause no damage. All you have to do is connect it to the 5V pin of USB.

Exactly. Getting 5v out of batteries is always tricky. USB would be a good way forward here.

Hell, I've run these circuits on 12V before by mistake. Doesn't make a fire or explosion like you'd think.
