Default USB crossover cable?

Im wanting to connect 2 computers on 1 dsl line using a crossover cable. However I just saw that one comp does not have an Ethernet port, only USB

Can it be done with adaptor?

you can buy an ethernet card, or i believe taht thy sell usb to ethernet at walmart but im a little unsure.

Ok so it will still work connecting to internet? or would it be cheaper to just buy a ethernet port/network adaptor?

id buy a card, safer,faster,and guaranteed to work.

yea, a card can be found for $5, or free if you search tree lawns.
