I think its more assurance than saying they shipped the wrong thing.

I hope it's a misprint. I'm not sure how they reduced the weight by about seven pounds.

Hopefully they just got the weight wrong and gave you a discount on the shipping. I remember ordering a package from LA and tracking it as it went to wisconsin then back here to southern California, taking an extra week to get here!

I ordered an amplifier from Amazon.com.

Considering I didn't have to pay for shipping, I'm not sure whether or not this is an advantage. Hopefully it's just a bug. I don't want the wrong product to arrive at my doorsteps.

Nah, probably not the wrong subwoofer, it's just likely that it was gutted along the route to your house . I hope you like empty boxes.
