The ultimate ripoff

Knowing very little about technology doesn't equal stupid. When a salesman sounds knowledgeable about something, people are usually inclined to believe them.

Sorry, not buying it. Spending $2000 on a cable for a TV that probably costs much less than the cable is stupid, end of story. Put it this way, I'm not an expert on cars or anything, right? So if I go into a tire shop and the guy tells me that new tires are going to cost $25,000 because I have special type wheels I would walk right out of the store and go somewhere else. I wouldn't just spend a ridiculous amount of money just on some salesguy's recommendation. That would be stupid regardless of how much I knew about cars...
