alright two questions, i want to make a lightsaber video, i know how to do the digital effects and everything but i am making a acual lightsabers handle, obviously not having a beam coming out.

and so i need a rod of some type for rotoscoping.

it must fit into a 1 1/4" tube. and i cant have it to heavy cuz if it was i couldn like move it around and it would like go thru the other end of the tube.

so i need to know what materials might i make a good rod with and not have to pay more than like $15 for.

i got a reference photo from obi wan's jedi academy.

and what would the best color be to paint it, dadrk color for light situations but a light color being swung around in the daylight, it like blurs on the film and...idk

so what is the best procedure on rods and the colors

and this is vauge yes, but is it possible to get in contact with Larry Larbel by chance?

plez help me

That's a photograph. And if you notice the tube is film invisable green. It gives the actors a referance point in the takes. But fails to show up in the final prints. The CGI software follows the motion of the green color and replaces it with what ever color the CGI artist puts in. Are you making your films this complex? I did some online searching cause it appears you don't want to. Go ask these SW forums how to do what you want.

That's a photograph

what does that mean?

and what? complicated?

no, all i want to do is film the vid and then put it into photoshop and digitally edit the saber onto it.

and to do that i need a rod extending from the saber handle

which brings me back to my original question
