The other day at work a guy came up to me asking for a router and if it work work with his current modem (Time Warner). Anyway, he told me that he was getting a new router because he was tired of paying a monthly fee for using the one that TW gave him, which was about $9 a month according to him. Now I guess my question would be, is there any truth to this? Do they charge a fee for using their equipment? Also, I've read on an article earlier that it is actually the (modem) that you are being charged for monthly, not the router. Anyway, if this is true then I am gonna be heading out to BB to pick up a new router/modem.
