they wont stop linux, so long as there are still real computer people around. and besides, linux is free and is made by enthusiasts not people paid to do it.

The people who choose Linux chose Linux by choice of other things, other than price.

They could make Windows FREE, but for some things I'm still going to choose Linux.

In what way do you intend support?

If its technical support for issues, I've had a better experience using Ubuntu (a common Linux distribution), than getting help from Microsoft.

If its how I believe you meant, program compatibility, your somewhat right..
But, Linux has come a long way and mostly if not almost everything can be used in Linux.. and what can't be done now, will be done soon.

I like linux alot. I have ALOT of experience with it. But it just isn't compatible with todays software and games. Although I once used Transgaming's "Cedega" to play counter-strike 1.6.
