Default Terminology for Newbie

Can you suggest a site to learn the various terms used in posts ... such as LOL or BUMP? Specifically, what does BUMP stand for????

BUMP is what people use to make there post go to the top of the forum they think they are smart

Bump doesn't stand for anything. It means to 'bump' your topic up to the top.

I had hastily tried Google a couple of times, but made my searches too specific.

I thoguht *BUMP* meant to realise something that made you hit the ground as it were, like a dissapointment Ph well... I know now
