Well, would you like to build your own box, or have it prefabbed?

The previous speaker (one with weather resistance) I showed you required more equipment than I was willing to get. It just started to build up.

I was looking at this. This company has been getting great reviews so far.

Considering they build their own cabinets in the United States by hand, the price isn't bad at all.

It's not the best kinda cabinet though. Are you looking for something as cheap as possible that will work, or something that will sound awesome, project well be loud as hell?

Also are you at all comfortable doing woodworking?

I'm definitely not looking for the cheapest brand. AVSForum has been raving about this speaker ever since its introduction in 2006.

If I were looking for a speaker that had great projection, I'd probably go with my first choice.

Like I said earlier, it requires more equipment than I rather purchase.

Not really. I know how to build furniture, but I'd rather not mess with audio.

Get either a paradigm or an REL.

If you want to throw lots of money at it then get a SVS

I use these http://www.yorkville.com/products.as...cat=20&type=33

I don't have a sub with those due to the fact they are full range speakers and the -3db cutoff on those is around the end of the human audible hearing range.

Those are my studio speakers, I have some crappy stereo speakers for home theater I made for about 20$ a pair that sound pretty damn decent, unfortunetly due to a "lets just start building crap" box design I did they are nowhere near as loud as they could potentially be. Eventually they will get replaced when I have the money with a nice 5.1 system, and some sort of folded sub.

I do always like the sound of folded horn subs far better than front loaded (and front loaded are becoming quite rare in the professional field now). I pay attention wherever I'm going to what is being used

Top speaker is studio monitor, bottom is TV speaker.
