Well they call it 'Hacking', but its a code you enter through your remote so it can play copied CD's..

I think that depends on what CD player you're talking about. Most CD players can already play copied CDs anyway.

My stereo has always had the ability to play my backup cd's. No need for codes here either...

Certain ones don't, something to do with being registered in Europe, the hack does something to change this

I don't have a stereo I use my computer, but my sister's wouldn't play them, and my dad punched in a code, then it worked!

Well, like I said, it sounds like it's only a particular brand or model of CD player, because pretty much every one I've tried has played copied CDs.
