Default SSD's Are Amazing!

Check this out, there are a lot of videos on YouTube featuring the Solid State Hard drive. This one is by far the most amazing one I have seen:

Both computers have Windows XP Pro Chinese version.

One on the left: U1500 CPU, 512MB RAM, 80GB 1.8" HDD
The right: U1400 CPU, 512MB RAM, 32GB 1.8" SSD

The one on the right is clearly supposed to boot up slower, because of the slower processor. Well, prepare to be amazed.

Heres another one I found. I wonder which one has the SSD.

You'd be surprised how durable SSD drives are. They contain no moving parts, so they're much more durable then standard hard drives. Absolutely suited for the laptop environment. Too bad they cost so much at the moment.

Meh. It's not THAT incredibly different. But I'm sure there are the OTHER advantages. But have we become THAT impatient?

Well, think about it. If you were an EXTREME gamer, those 6 to 7 seconds would make a lot of difference, wouldn't they?

Jon F also added another great point. Where standard HD's fail, the SSD can live on much longer.

I just found another great technology: Gigabyte Technology's i-RAM

I don't think they are worth moving onto if you have a desktop yet for price, but for a laptop, yeah, I see the advantages straight away
Most people have removable drives they use instead of the laptops main one anyway.
