Default Sql

I was just wondering about this.

Do you normally pronounce it "ess queue ell" or "sequel"? I have always said "sequel" because that is how my friend described it when he first showed me it in 1994.

I've heard it both ways but I'm not sure there's an official pronunciation for it.

I just looked at it and said the letters, I didn't know people actually pronounced it out, but I guess it's like SATA and SCSI...

I also say SATA as Sat-a. I say SCSI as Scuzzi, as I've heard several people say it like that and i thought it sounded funny and catchy.

I've always said sequel because it much quicker and easier to say ess q ell or my ess q ell. According to mysql, the preffered pronouceiation is my ess q ell but my sequel is acceptable so thats good enough for me!

I didn't even know people were pronouncing it two different ways. I always say "sequel".

Hey David you need to update the folding scores in your sig.
