i didnt see this posted any where...

man that stinks, I have comps with 32 bit processors.I guess no Vista for those comps!!

Yeah that's old news...64 bit is the way to go now.

@ Ace - Vista is still in 32 bit versions, but all the OSes after Vista are going to be 64 bit.

So what, the next windows wont be out for a while, and 64bit processors have been out for a while. Nice read though.

Yeah the next Windows, codename Vienna, is due out in 2009.

Ya, this is just for server 2008, they don't even know when they are going to completely convert to 64 bit client os's

No, Server 2008 is going to be the last 32 bit compatible Windows OS. Everything after that is 64 bit, including regular home OSes.

Well, it's about time someone puts the feet down. At that rate, we'll never reach 64-bit, and we'll have 1024-bit CPUs.
