Sold my guns and raised money

Has anyone here who owns a gun and uses it for protection considered that if someone were to break into your home and you actually fired the gun that you would be held accountable for that persons injuries or even death. Its just not worth it.

Actually, in most states, you wouldn't. the use of anything (gun, knife, crowbar, baseball bat, hands etc) in a defensive manner is 100% legal. Some states, like the one I'm in, even protect you from being sued for medical and/or funeral costs.

Yeah well at least our country wasn't started out as a penal colony.

Fail to see what this has to do with guns!!! but I will point out your history is not much better with a revolution, slavery & civil war.
