Default Slideshow-video making software?

What is the best software for making slideshows with text, image, audio, etc. and saving them as some video format so I can upload them to YouTube?

I'm sure this isn't the best one available but you could always use windows movie maker.

Yeah, powerpoint is meant to handle those kinds of tasks. If you don't want to pay for powerpoint I think Google has some web based office programs so you can take a look into those.

Does Powerpoint have a feature to save them as a video file??

Windows Movie Maker would do it pretty easily.
