Default Scientists attempting to clone a mammoth

Scientists trying to clone, resurrect extinct mammoth – This Just In - CNN.com Blogs

I find it odd that they don't even specify what species of mammoth they are trying to clone. Nevertheless, it seems pretty cool. I just wonder what they are going to do if they are successful. It'd be neat if they tried to clone more and reestablish the species, though I have doubts that they'd survive very long.
