Satellite Reciever...

Hmm, i wonder if there are any satellite smarty pants here.
Well, i need some help. My dad told me to put a lock on the "bad" channels, but i can't get into the parental control or the channel edit because it asks for a password. The problem is that we never programmed a password into it.
So is there a reset i can perform or anything to start fresh???

Do you know of any default password? I would just contact the company that you get the service from. There might be a reset on the satellite receiver, although I'm a comp guy, so I don't know that well. Hope this helps.

Look on the back of the reciever and see if there is a little hole that says "reset" that you can stick a pen into to press the button for a few seconds. If you've never programmed a password, I don't see why one would be there. what kind of service and reciever do you have?
