the only bottleneck i know is that an AM2 processor like the 64 X2 can only use a max speed of 800mhz, while the AM2+ Phenoms can use the max speed of the 1066mhz because of the memory controller on the CPU. Other than that, i dont think AMD bottleneck their RAM, unless you get a 1066mhx ram for the 64 X2 series.
