Remember Ina Gadda Da Vida?

I read an article recently that said the song was supposed to be "In the Garden of Eden" but the vocalist kept slurring the words so it sounded like "Ina Gadda Da Vida" so they ended up changing the lyrics.

I work with a bunch of young whipper snappers and I've mentioned this song to co-workers in the past and they usually say they've never heard of the song.

If they don't listen to classic rock that's their loss.

Classic Rock forever!

I haven't heard it before. And I usually listen to classic rock (of course this'll depend on the definition), but I have never stumpled upon it. It's good though.

I don't know if it still holds any records but at one time it was the longest song with the longest drum solo in it.

I can't find anything stating that either of the above is true so I guess it was just hearsay.
