Default Is it really necessary...

for companies like Adobe and Apple to charge so much for Creative Suite or Final Cut?

i could never justify those prices, especially if i was part of a small business.

Yes, it is. A lot of businesses use that software to make money.. Why should they release software for very little if the business that is using it is going to make a lot of money?

They should however offer non-student type deals for people just learning the program, and maybe for smaller based work

Yea I agree they are a tad over priced... but you get so much use out of it. I think it's worth the price. You can make so many unique creations with those pieces of software. I made nearly all the images and design with Adobe. Check it out.

If it didn't cost so much, they would have such a large piracy issue!

I doubt the value in costs matters as much as the fact that there is a cost. If the software costs $200 people will torrent it because they can save $200. If it costs $10 people will still torrent it because they can save $10. Unless it's free, people will still torrent it.

Money, money, money, that's all it is folks.

How about paying $150 for a license renewal of Norton 360, just a license renewal for the software that came preinstalled on my HP laptop. Now that's crazy. And no, I didn't do it.
