Default The rant thread

I know there's always ranting threads created and to check if stuff is working. So I created this thread to solve that problem. Well, somewhat. I have a rant of my own but I named the thread this so it's hijackable. Or in another words, so we can talk about other stuff without having it getting closed.

My rant: For you facebook users. Don't you think they need to get a better server? I've been getting disconnected a lot in the middle of important conversations. Like...my messages won't send...it's always in the process of "sending". And I know it's not my internet because I'm on other websites and they work just fine.

yea, i really like the new IM feature they have, however it has major flaws. i too have experienced being disconnected while in conversations with people. or it saying they are offline and refreshing the page fixes it. i think the main problem is they grew MUCH faster than they ever anticipated. i mean think about it, just about everybody in highschool and college has one and even some out of college do as well. thats a lot of people...

add me btw, and anybody else can as well: Kyle Soldani

I will have to check out that IM feature sometime.
The professors at MSOE had facebook, used it for business appointments and things like that.

I closed my Facebook account for a number of personal reasons I won't go into here (because it's pretty boring and pretty messy). Well, I deactivated but can't be arsed jumping through the hoops right now to have it properly deleted even though the hoops are actually in breach of UK Data Protection Law... Facebook do now have a London office so I might just send them a very nice letter

I totally hate Facebook anyway, it's full of annoying, crappy, pointless applications and it's just turned into MySpace with a uniform layout. When I first joined in September 2005 and was open to a small number of University students then it was something special and worth talking about, but not now.

Forums are based around drama and that's what makes them exciting, if it was an orderly Q&A website it would just get boring real quick.

Well I have like 1 or 2 applications. I don't like it messy. And I only try to add the people I know.

I do the exact opposite. I add random people I've never seen that I found in our year book and see what they do.

i deleted my myspace account a few months back cos it got hacked or something and porn links kept getting posted as bulletins and i didnt even want it in the first place so i deleted it and i never had a facebook account IMO al these "social networking" sites suck , ive got friends in my real life why would i then want to go on my computer and talk to the same group of friends if i really want to i can pick up the phone and talk to them

As for drama this place has social circles and groups of people who are friendly with each other and when you get that you get drama and people taking sides , sometimes its stupid but its the way forums work
