I remember in Red Alert 2 theres a Soviet mission where you're supposed to take out an Allied base at the World Trade Center and one of the objectives other than destroying the Allied base was to destroy the WTC towers. I think after 9/11 they made it so it was an "optional" objective and if you DID destroy them you got bonus crates which usually had tons of money.

Yeah, something like that. I also remember in C&C Generals they were going to have a GLA mission where you use Toxin Tractors and kill a whole villiage of PLA civilians with anthrax. They took that out too.

Metal Gear Solid 2 had some changes made to it as well, thanks to 9/11.
