The natural thing would be to blame UPS for the entire thing, but I don't think the fault completely lies with them alone. They're investing the damage, so we'll see how they rule.

ya, i worked at fedex ground for 2 years and a package handler, and iv seen some pretty interesting things go through the terminal.

big accidents like that happen, nothing you can do, its just the risk you run when having things shipped. Though they should cover it if it was insured.

from the looks of it, it was probably damaged during the early morning presort shift during loading. doubt it was during the actual driving. them vans are insainly full this time of the year.

I have a feeling they stacked multiple packages on it, which helped contribute to the multiple cracks. The UPS delivery man usually makes his last stop at our neighborhood, so it probably had a high chance of being damaged.

As for insurance, I hope Newegg has that covered.

if the loader of that truck did stack other packages on the large surface area of that screen, i would fire his ass right then and there. ALL TVs, flat screens, PC towers, electronics ect should be loaded on the narrow side, not the broad side, as to help protect the screen and internals.

*shakes head*
sometimes i wander were DHL, UPS, FedEx find there loaders...

Damn... A free TV was available on Craigslist, but the posting was flagged for removal... Here's what it read.

Free LCD TV.Yes it works perfectly.Yes it has a remote. No i wont deliver. Why is it FREE you ask????? My room mate thought it would be "hysterical" to pause gay porn on my TV while my girlfriend and I were on vacation for 2 weeks, thus burning and image into the screen. So...If you dont mind a sillouette of a skinny white guy taking a load in the face from the biggest black penis in recorded history forever adorning your new TV, Its yours."
It was a nice looking TV otherwise...

Kind of sad if you take a step back and look at it. They are only 13. How in the HELL did they see it to be ok to smack a girl's ass? Not at that age, and not if she doesn't want it :d

Hey all. Just wrapping up some studying for a final tomorrow.

I was wondering if someone could link me to a reputable site that explains laptop batteries -- whether plugging them in all the time is the best way to go, or if you should "use" the battery. I always leave my laptop plugged in (it usually gets cycled once or twice a week down to about 20% when I'm at a friends). My friend thinks that cycling it all the time is good, but I beg to differ. After all, Li-Ion batteries are still chemical, hence the cycling changes the structure reducing capacity over time, correct? I'm just trying to find some non-forum evidence to support my claim. She says her brother took 2 years in computers in college, and he's the one who told her it's bad to leave it plugged in all the time. *rolleyes* If I'm wrong, I'm wrong, but this sounds kind of absurd to me.

Completely Unrelated:
