Well, I do drop tons of stuff and they disappear somewhere. Why don't stuff go to where they fall instead of bouncing awkwardly ending up somewhere weird? It must be imps playing games on us.

They are mainly religious practices but celebrations are implemented in them to ease the self and touch the emotions.
