In the UK I've seen a 480GB SSD available for 100GBP, they're getting cheaper! :D

That's a good price for a modern SSD. It does bring a 4TB decently fast HDD with some cash to spare. I'm on ~12TB now, by the say :)

But it is not that bad an idea for enthusiasts and the extremely impatient to use an SSD for games only (besides the OS) for a price like that.

True, but is the difference worth it like it is for OS start up and updates?

Well, yes it is to some, but not to me. Some games don't take advantage of SSD's for some unknown weird reason, like Darksiders 2 (Youtube have a video for it).

Yeah i would rather have my OS to boot and function faster than have my games load faster.
But I am just not using HDD's anymore. I don't want them in my system.

I do fine with a 32g SSD cache drive and an 1T hard drive. My OS load up like nobody's business.
