It's amusing to me seeing people compare fragmentation levels on Windows 7 when it has been proven that fragmentation levels on a Windows 7 box don't affect the OS as much as it did on XP. Oh well, enjoy thrashing your hard drives into oblivion.

I only defrag when I notice a performance change. So basically, every couple months.
And yes, it does make a difference in W7. Last time I tried playing Lost Planet, the hard drive was crunching away 24/7. It caused really epic slowdowns every minute or so. I would've defragged it right then, but there was a thunderstorm so I didn't want to leave it on unless I was using it.
4.8GB? How little do you have on your hard drive?
Maximum PC and some other online publications have proved otherwise, even with severely fragmented hard drives.

Oh, yeah. My 7200.12 probably has some ridiculous number of fragmentation on it, but it's no concern. I use my 7200.12 as my PF, so I expect it to be fragmented fairly horribly, but I can't do anything about it. Can't move my PF :\
