Pimped out the little room off of the garage today for our little business. Opinions?

yeah thats right we have a little TV in there :p
directly in front of that wall is the desk, a few chairs, and the door to the shop

Nice. One of these days I'll have a nice condo or something with a two car garage to use as my man-cave. :D

I tried switching completely to Ubuntu and eliminating my Windows partition. Then all of the sudden, 6oldgameshave10fps. Is there some secret trick to getting Wine to run stuff at a decent quality or is it just inefficient?

Windows > Linux xD

Sorry, but emulation is no way to go. They've BARELY perfected N64/psONE emulations ---> In retrospect, these are a completely different type of emulation. But the same concept is applied.

What kind of games are you running and can your hardware run them fine in Windows?

Simcity 4 and TF2, yeah I usually get 45-50 fps in SC4 and 20-30 in TF2, both are unplayable. No big deal, I'll just reinstall windows on the laptop and boot with it for games on the desktop.

Well, hold out on that. I'm no specialist for Linux, but a lot of other people around here are. No sense in jumping to the conclusion it won't work. The drivers may not be working all that great in Linux. I'm sure there are plenty of tweaks to make them work better.
