The only one I've encountered was when my parents were arguing about our downloads usage which is a 12GB limit and I was loading heaps of long videos on google that month. My mum didn't know that all internet activity uses downloads so when my dad was saying how he doesn't want it exceeded cause online banking sucks on dial up for him, my mum responds with "but he's not even downloading anything" meaning I wasn't using a filesharing program at the time and my dad just goes

Lol uh heres one, my mom thinks that when you change your simcard in your cellphone that you get the bill.

Me: Mom, I traded phones with my friend.
Mom: Oh. I better not get your friends bill mailed to me.
Me: No, I changed the simcard.
Mom: WTF WHY? He's probably gona run up a huge bill!
Me: No, we switched simcards, so we each keep our own bills, but just change the phone.
Mom: Oh, what's a simcard?

Also when we went to my aunts house and brought the laptop, I connected to my aunts wlan and my mom sees me on the internet. She says:

"I hope our internet company doesnt charge us for roaming"

Lol.

So i'm IMing this girl from Brasil. And I was trying to get her orkut and I go like:
"Can you send me the link so i can just hit add?"
then she goes
"****_*********@homail.com"

it's not that bad, but it still was annoying cuz i asked her twice.

I got this great one that my friend said during programming class, doesn't really have to do with computers...

i was talking about i took out the vowels in my password and i gave him a hint, then he puts his hands out and starts to count syllables...it was pretty funny at the time...we call him syllables now.

Oh, do i know that feeling. It reminds me of a sort-of debate I had in another forum--CNet. You can look over the thread if you'd like to see what I mean. It is found at http://forums.cnet.com/5208-6142_102...85454&tag=mcnt

I know for a fact that many of you will totally agree.

ssc456, perhaps you should be a bit kinder when people ask questions. After all, that is how I gained my experienced. My inquisitiveness got me where I am today. I went from not knowing computers at all to knowing them inside and out. Of course, I did do my own research and troubleshooting on my own.

I once convinced this kid in my computer class that ubuntu was actually the internet, and that by changing files and settings and things he was affecting the whole world. He freaked out, it was great.
