Default A Puzzle Involving Binary and maybe Decryption.

Alright so here is a photo which contains a secret message.

(I think I attached it but I'm not sure, I'm new to this site.)

This puzzle has not been solved yet so I am going to tell you what I have found already.

First I went into photoshop, played around with the layers and found binary in the top left corner.

Code:
00000000000000100011001000
00001000001000100000001001
11110011110000110111100001
11111110111111111111011111
11111111111111111101111111
11101100010111111111010011
01100100000000001111010001
00000000000001000001000000
01100111110010101101010011
01001000010101101111101110
11111111111001111101010111
00000000000000101000010000
11110101010000001100001101
10010000000001010000000001
01100011000000000110101001
00000000001010010000000000
I then converted that into ASCII and got

2<76@D@g}\
@d@0

Then I just get a bunch of random symbols and this is where I get stuck.

Good luck.

Some additional information:

I'm starting to think it's more then just decoding, I tried everything I could think of.

Binary > Hex > Text is the same as Binary > Text.

Binary > Base64 > Hex > Text is the same as Binary > Text.

Whatever it is, you will always end up with garbage (random symbols).

Decoding the binary is out of the question, it has to be some kind of number game. If you can figure this out you are a genius.

Oh come on.
What else has 26 characters? You learned it in kindergarden.

I'll give you this much.
Take the alphabet and type it double spaced across notepad.
Under the letters put the corresponding numbers 01 thru 26.
Count the amount of 1's appearing in each line.
That's the letter.
The word goes from top to bottom.
It took me 10 minutes to decode it.

wow that's some clever thinking. But what about the lines with a bunch of 1's and 0's? Like the 6th one down.

1 - abcefjlmnopqrstvyz
0 - dghikuwx

Whats all that about?

Also I was hoping this would be a group effort since the last puzzle had over 15 steps. This puzzle isn't even close to being over.

But your help is much appreciated.

EDIT: I just saw your newest post will try that, thanks.

Count the number of total 1's in the line and find the number of the character. That's the letter. Disregard the 0's. It's camouflage.
Start at the top and work your way down.

Yea I got deoxyribonucleic.

If that's the answer, I would be a very happy camper, Thank you for that help.
