ps2 online??

hi i was wondering wat i would need to hook up my ps2 to the online community?? if i buy the starter pack, do i need to pay to use online like the xbox or is it free once u have the network starter pack and have broadband or dial up (not including the dial up or broadband bills). and am i abl to use dial up 56kbps with it and have it not lag alot?

you need a netowkr adapter. 56k should dieeeeeeeeeeee. get broadband since some games dont let you play online with 56k or dial up. You also need a network cable. Its free for ps2 online.

no fees for ps2 online!!!!!!

but there is some fees for MMORPG games and the GAMES not ps2, like FFXI is 13 bucks a month >:O sucks

and do NOT use 56k, just get dsl so you can hook it up to your PC and your PS2, my friends do that all the time, play socom then play some cs.

yeah sweet but i hate microsoft for charging to play online. if only ps2 had counter strike, if it did then i would go buy the network pack straight away

PS2 NETWORK ADAPTER

what you do is get your internet enthernet wire plug into your cable box (MODEM box)
then from your ps2 you plug the network adpater to your ps2 then your enthernet goes in there and goes to your MODEM box stick the game in then plug the USB headset in the PS2 if you have 1, put the game in then play.

Central station (you need to regester a account, you get the central station disk with the network adapter)
There you go.

you need broadban for socom2.....cobra what was your name on that game.....i used to play it like crazy and then i sold my ps2
