Default Project F-250

Ok, so as I breifly mentioned in random chit-chat a few days ago, im trading my Chevy in for a 1985 Ford F-250. I have a few roadblocks though.
It has no gas tank. Does anybody know if that year of F-series had the gas pumps in the tank or on the frame? (I'll explain why later)

Also, we have to tow the truck back due to the lack of a gas tank... My only friends with trucks are both messed up. the one guy needs a new differential for his 2006 F350 before he can do anything. The other guy has an 1994 Jeep Cherokee, but the back suspension is kinda messed up. whenever you hit a bump you can hear a loud clunk from the suspension.
Would towing a big 1985 F-250 be too much for a Jeep Cherokee because of the suspension issue? Or are we good with that? were just going to rent a wheel dolly from U-haul.
