Private P2P sharing?

Is there a way for my friend and I to share files between each other easily, and free, lol. We work togethor on a lot of video projects, so if we could share our videos over the internet with just each other easily, that would make things a lot easier. Yahoos file transfer thing is like dial-up speed... so any other recomendations?

If you're computer literate, you can make a server out of your computer using apache that you can FTP into. If you're not too computer literate you can use limewire to access each others shared folders through each others IP addresses. I believe Rapidsharing and the like would take longer than yahoo.

People dont like aim, but direct connection is faster on there than yahoo is btw
