Default printf("Hello, World!");

Hey, I'm Troy. I'm a gamer/programmer from Canada. I'm writing my own OS in 32-bit assembly language.

Just thought I'd introduce myself.

It's just to teach me about assembly language, the x86 processor, and crap like that. It's text mode only so far, and has a basic (read: crappy) keyboard driver.

So yeah, it sucks. But it's fun to write.

There's a whole community of us OS writers and tutorials at www.osdev.org.

Probably not. OS writing in text mode is hard enough.

Heres the project site, if you want to check it out: http://code.google.com/p/tbos2/. There'll be screenies up when there's actually something good to show.

Isnt that pretty much the only way to go about it if you dont want to relay on other people's code?
