try typing a dissertation on a virtual keyboard then revise that point of view!

the fact that the keyboard cuts the screen in half reduces the usability, the way in which you either can't have your hands in an ergonomic position or can't have the screen in an ergonomic position means it's not suited to working with for long periods. then the lack of tactile response means that typing speed will slow.

using an external keyboard is this only way that you can really use a tablet as a word processor, even then the lack of mouse will become annoying!
