Yeah it may be damaging to Apple but some PC users will get something from it.

Why did Apple decide to switch anyway? Did IBM just not want to mae chips for them anymore? Or did Apple make it? and why?

People are still working on it. It seems to be progressing really nicely. The only problem (you would know this if you read the article) is that the hack required a download of an illegal copy of the software.

there is an os x for pc out on bittorrent you need a new venice core amd or new intel

You can get an emulator and load the mac os over it. I saw a guy who had an emulator inside an emulator etc!
