PC Phone

Hey Guys,

im just sitting here on my computer desk and realised that my phone is really big and bulky and i dont like the looks of it.

is it possible to run my actual phone line into my 56k modem port and have phone calls come through my pc and use my pc mic and speakers?

im just wondering coz as ive been browsing the net and if i see a group of numbers and i click it then it sometimes asks me if i want to dial that number?

is there any software for managing this or any special expansion cards i can buy?

thats skype asking you if you want to dial the number (im guessing).
i know of a free program to make landline calls, but that works over the internet.
not to sure if this will work, but google seems to think it will.

You can do it but you usually need a special kind of modem. The quality is usually not all that great either. I am not sure how to do it, but I know that not all modems allow you to do it.
